# KYC via Desktop
**KYC**
*Step 1: Identity Verification*
Bybit requires identity verification (KYC) to use its services. Get verified quickly!
* Click "Verify Now" on the main page banner.
* Alternatively, access your profile settings (top right corner) and click "Verify Now" under Identity Verification.
*Step 2: Click on “Verify Now”*
*Step 3: Click on “Verify Now”*
Once you reach the new page, select your document type and country.
For computer verification, click the "Confirm" button. To verify on your smartphone, choose "Verify with App."
*Step 4: Verification through Desktop*
Click on the “Start Verification” button.
*Step 5: Identity Verification*
Select your issuing country and document type for verification.
*Step 6: Continue Verification*
Click on the “Get secure link” and continue to your phone
*Step 7: Scan the QR code*
Open your phone's camera app and point it at the QR code on your screen. Your phone should automatically detect and open the link.
*Step 8: Continue verification on Mobile*
Click on the link on the “Continue” button.

*Step 9: Allow Camera Access*
Enable camera to scan your documents.

Once you have successfully scanned your government-issued identification document, kindly proceed with the selfie verification step. Upon successful completion of both, your KYC verification process will be considered complete.
