How Not to Farm on Cookie Snaps

Cookie Snaps is designed to reward real voices and creators who genuinely contribute to the crypto conversation around projects who have an active Snaps Campaign. The system isn’t built for short-term gains or spammy tactics. It’s built for people who show up consistently with insight, originality, and loyalty.

Below are the behaviors that may result in reduced SNAPS, suspension from campaigns, or in serious cases, a permanent ban from Cookie Snaps.

What counts as farming?

1. Spamming

Posting the same content repeatedly, flooding hashtags, tagging projects dozens times in a week. It’s not helpful, it’s noise. If your X feed looks like a copy-paste job, you're farming.

2. Engagement Farming

Posts designed only to get likes, replies, or quote tweets, especially when explicitly asking for it will be deprioritized. Snaps rewards organic engagement, not manufactured clout. Example: “Comment 🚀 if you’re bullish” ≠ quality content.

3. Plagiarized or Copied Posts

If you’re copying someone else’s work or reposting old content without context or relevance, we’ll know. Cookie AI checks for originality.

4. Adult or NSFW Content

This is a professional creator platform. Any sexually explicit or inappropriate content will not generate snaps even if it has good engagement.

5. Low-Quality or AI-Generated Content

Low-effort memes, AI text with no human editing, or generic threads that don’t contribute real thought will score poorly. Cookie AI flags for quality, not quantity.

6. Botted Engagement

SNAPS are awarded based on real, smart engagement not inflated vanity metrics. If a post shows signs of botted likes or views, Cookie AI flags it automatically. These posts are unlikely to earn SNAPS unless they also receive strong organic engagement from trusted and active CT users.

7. Snapping Too Many Projects at Once

You can’t be loyal to 12 projects in 3 days. If you’re hopping from one campaign to another with no consistent alignment, the loyalty multiplier will be reduced. Snaps reward real alignment, not opportunistic content.

8. Coordinated Group Farming

Are you part of a Telegram or Discord group that boosts each other’s posts in unison? Cookie AI is watching. Posts that spike simultaneously from a known clique will be deprioritized.

What Happens If You Farm?

Posts flagged as farming won’t generate SNAPS.

If you’re consistently farming, you may get a penalty – even high-engagement posts might earn fewer or no SNAPS.

Not Farming, But Won’t Earn SNAPS

Not everything flagged is considered farming, but that doesn’t mean it qualifies for SNAPS either. These behaviors don’t break the rules, but they won’t earn you points.

  • Business & Org Accounts

Cookie Snaps is built for individual creators. DAO accounts, agency handles, or brand pages aren’t eligible unless clearly labeled and specifically whitelisted. Even if they post relevant content, these accounts won't earn SNAPS by default.

  • Irrelevant Content

Posts must align with the topic and narrative of the campaign. Talking about your breakfast or posting generic motivational quotes in a DePIN campaign? Not relevant. Even if the engagement is good, it doesn’t support the project's mindshare and won’t be rewarded.

🤝 Help Us Keep It Fair

If you spot farming, you can report it in just a few clicks using the Snaps Leaderboard. Reports feed directly into Cookie AI’s learning model and help keep things fair for all.
